Getting ready for the next race starts before the last race ended. In motorcycle land speed racing that normally means a over year of prep. The same goes for the volunteer staff that promotes and manages the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials.
That year of prep is helped by the fantastic volunteers with decades of experience racing and running events at Bonneville. Thanks to all of this experience, we were able to pull off a great event in 2014, despite weather, and looking forward to a great 2015 event. This is one of the many reasons that Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials runs during the prime time of the year for the best salt.
We are all concerned about the initial reports and the unfortunate weather conditions that prevented the early season USFRA Test and Tune. All of the racing organizations are talking, sharing experience, and looking forward to racing. There will be more people on the ground reviewing the situation over the course of the month. Seven weeks is a long time for the salt to dry out.

We found an island of salt to race on last year, built two courses, and set new records. The same perseverance, ingenuity, and experience, of our volunteers will be brought to bear again this year.
